This is the wish list for our care packages. We are making packages for eight members, so unless otherwise noted, we will need enough of each item on this list for each member. so we need a few of each item, unless it is specifically marked as requiring only a certain amount. If you are going to buy something from this list, go ahead and tell how much of each kind of item you are going to buy in the comment section below. [Edit: WordPress makes me approve comments before I can post them to the blog as a countermeasure for spam. If your comment does not show up right away, try checking a little later. I will be checking this site regularly to make sure your comments are being approved and posted ASAP.]

  • Junior Mints
  • Raisinets
  • M&Ms
  • Microwavable Pasta bowls
  • (1) bottle of super glue & small paint brushes
  • kool aid packets

Titans Clash

Check out this great video from The Gospel Coalition on Vimeo.

The video features three highly influential evangelical thinkers in a frank, hard hitting roundtable discussion: Francis Chan, Mark Driscoll, and Joshua Harris. Driscoll presses Chan to discuss his recent departure as pastor of Cornerstone Church, and in so doing, lures Chan into revealing his ecclesiological  views as well. Watch this clip to get into the heads of three movers and shakers in American evangelicalism!

Thanks Matt B. for the link!

Jews for Jesus Night

Come worship with us this Friday (4/2) at Crossroads Bible Church (1670 Moorpark, San Jose, CA 95128) at 7PM for a celebration of the Passover. Jews for Jesus will be hosting Christ in the Passover in which they will teach us how Christ is present in the Old Testament rituals. I am so excited to see how Christ revealed Himself to the Ancient Hebrews!

Afterwards, Worship Ministries will be hosting a pizza party for us as we help them construct a tomb for the Easter play.

P.S.

I saw the preview for this movie in 3D when I went to see Avatar, and the part when Alice falls down the rabbit hole looks Cray-Cray in 3D!

Come Worship with Us!

Instead of our usual shindig, this Friday (2/26) the Revive crew will be at our home church, Crossroads Bible Church (1670 Moorpark Avenue, San Jose, California) for a special worship night! We will be joining the rest of the church body for a night of worship and praise through music, testimonies, and prayer.

The gathering begins at 7:30PM and we will be sure to continue the night with some dinner and hang-out time afterwards. If Friday will be your first night checking out Revive, give me an email ahead of time, so that we can make sure you find us within the pews and you don’t have to feel awkward and alone! :)

Welcome

Who are you guys?

Thanks for visiting the official blog of Revive College & Young Adult’s Ministry at Crossroads Bible Church in San Jose, California. We are a group of young men and women committed to transforming lives for Jesus Christ to impact the world!

And by “world” we mean your family, workplace, school, the homeless man you see on your way to work every morning, Mexico, India, and any other place in which you may have never imagined God using you!

What if I want to actually visit your group?

We meet from 7-9PM every Friday. Check out our LOCATION page for our current meeting place (our meeting times never change, but our location periodically changes to a different person’s home every 2-3 months, so check out the page to find us).

So, what’s up with the name?

What is the story behind the name “Revive,” you ask? It comes from the magnificent scene recorded in Ezekiel 37 where the prophet Ezekiel witnesses the LORD breath new life into a valley of dry bones, “…and the bones came together, bone to its bone…sinews were on them, and flesh grew and skin covered them…and the breath came into them and they came to life and stood on their feet, an exceedingly great army.”

We are committed to transforming this generation of college students and young adults into “an exceedingly great army” through in-depth Bible Study, authentic fellowship, prayer, and the exercise of each of our unique spiritual gifts! Amen! Phew!

Wait! I still have questions!
